PURPOSE:To control a reluctance type motor according to two conduction patterns. CONSTITUTION:A conductive section T is set between a position of 0 deg. or 360 deg. electrical angle and a position shifted by a predetermined amount from a position of 180 deg. electrical angle where salient poles of stator and rotor oppose perfectly to exhibit high inductances. Conduction is interrupted in the vicinity of 180 deg. electrical angle so that the current flowing through the inductance goes '0' at the position of 180 deg. electrical angle. Even when conduction is interrupted at an electrical angle of 0 deg. or 360 deg., current due to the inductance does not flow because of low inductance. Consequently, reverse torque is suppressed. Two conduction patterns are classified for generation of counterclockwise torque (b), (d) and for generation of clockwise torque (a), (c) wherein a conduction pattern is selected according to the sign of torque command and a motor is controlled. Since two conduction patterns are provided, conduction control is facilitated, software is shortened and thereby processing time is shortened. |
