MODEM WITH AUTOMATIC TEST CONTROL CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To prevent mis-operation at setting of a test item and a judgement error of the result of test and to avoid occurrence of time loss at a fault in an unmanned station. CONSTITUTION:A reception signal quality detection circuit 2 detects deterioration of quality of a reception signal and outputs an alarm signal. A reception carrier detection circuit 3 detects reception carrier interrupt and outputs an alarm signal. Upon the receipt of the alarm signal from the reception signal quality detection circuit 2 or the reception carrier detection circuit 3 for a preset time, a time monitor circuit 4 outputs a test start signal. An automatic test control circuit 5 receiving the test start signal starts the test relating to the test items already set in a station setting/test item setting section 1, calculates the test result and sends an error rate to a display section 6. The display section 6 displays the test items and the error rate.
