PURPOSE:To sufficiently accelerate clipping processing when a clipping route and a plotting route are partially overlapped. CONSTITUTION:Bounding boxes 13, 14 for surrounding the plotting route 11 and the clipping route 12 are found out, a common bounding box 15 is found out from both the boxes 13, 14, whether each side of the routes 11, 12 is in the inside or outside of respective sides of the box 15 or intersect with any side is judged, and when the side is on the outside of the sides of the box 15, the side is removed or replaced by a simple side. When the side is inside the side of the box 15, the side is used as it is, and when the side intersects With the side of box 15, a simple side is substituted for the outer part of the side concerned and the inner part of the side is used as it is. Thus side data are formed from finally obtained sides and a part included in the route 12 is segmented from the route 11 based upon the side data. |
