PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic device on which a developing unit whose developer is reduced, is easily exchanged, and another developing unit is not erroneously exchanged. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic device has plural developing units 6, and a residual toner sensor 6g outputting a signal when the quantity of toner inside respective developing units 6 is a prescribed value or below, displays the fact that the exchange period of the developing unit comes, on an operational panel 36, in response to the output signal of the residual toner sensor 6g, and simultaneously, operates the releasing lever 42 of the developing unit 6 so as to move the developing unit 6 to be exchanged forward from a prescribed position. Therefore, only the developing unit 6 to be exchanged is moved forward, in response to the output signal of the residual toner sensor 6g, so that another developing unit can be prevented from being erroneously exchanged, and further, the developing unit 6 can be easily exchanged. |
