PURPOSE:To regulate the thickness of a developer layer formed on the surface of a developing roller to be specified thickness in a state the accuracy of component parts is enhanced even when a developing device is small in size and light in weight. CONSTITUTION:An angle theta formed by the surface 13a of a holding plate 13 holding a developer layer regulating member 12 for regulating the thickness of the developer layer formed on the surface 11a of the developing roller 11, where it contacts with the developer layer regulating member 12, with the fixed surface 14a of a bearing holding member 14 to the holding plate 13 is made about 0 deg., so that the relative positions of the developing roller 11 and the developer layer regulating member 12 are kept at a position where the thickness of the developer layer is regulated to be the specified thickness without making the working accuracy of the respective parts severe just by moving the bearing holding member 14 only in one direction shown by an arrow A. |
