A method of concentrating formaline by way of the evaporating under reduced pressure characterised in that formaline is subjected to the evaporation in the flow and the produced mixture of liquid and vapours is separated immediately in the empty space, and formaline is maintained in the evaporation zone for not longer than 0.01-1.0 s, preferably not longer than 0.2 s.
