A brush particularly for low-voltage machines with difficult commutation conditions in the shape of a rectangular prism made from a carbonic material with a highly electrically conductive metal plate in the axis of the symmetry and a cable connected to it leading out the current characterised in that in the axis of the symmetry in relation to the width (t) of the brush, there is a central electrically conductive layer (4) with the width of (t3<= 0.2 t) and connected directly with a flexible cable (7) conducting current, and further the external surfaces (1) of the brush, which at its base have leading and trailing edges except for vertical sides (6), are covered with a thin film (2) of a highly electrically conductive flexible material with the width of (t2<= 0.02 t).<IMAGE>
