A method of producing mountings of the electrodes of resistance welders from alloy copper with connecting the component elements of the mounting fixed in appropriate tooling, made from pipes and/or rods by friction welding on a welder, with the removal of flashes of material by machining characterised in that the pipe component of the mounting with the desired size and with a small allowance of the length of about 3 percent of the external diameter, which will be shortened during welding, with the diameter from 25 mm to 42 mm and the width of the wall from 7.5 mm to 14 mm and the element of the forming rod are subjected to friction welding with the following parameters: the rotational speed of the spindle - n = 84 rad/s, friction unit pressure - pt from 27 MPa to 80 MPa, the upsetting unit pressure - ps from 66 MPa to 198 MPa, friction time - tt = 2.5 s, upsetting time - ts = 8s.<IMAGE>
