A method of producing modified furan resin characterised in that 100 parts by weight of furfural-acetone resin is mixed with 30-150 parts by weight of ethanol A-formaldehyde resin, and further the condensation is carried out at the temperature of 313-363 degrees K for 1-4 hours, preferably at the temperature of 323-339 degrees K for 2 hours, and further volatiles, mainly water, are distilled off by heating the mixture to the temperature of 393-403 degrees K and diluted with a solvent, preferably furfural, in the amount of 40-80 parts by weight.
