PURPOSE:To unnecessitate securing an address table area by providing an error flag write means, a data write substitute means, an address write means, and a data read means. CONSTITUTION:The memory card is provided with an EEPROM 17, error detection means, error flag write means, and data write means. It also provided with an address write means writing a substitute destination address to be replaced by the data substitute means on a page with an error and a data read means 16 discriminating an error generated page while referring to an error flag area, discriminating a substitute destination address by reading a byte data on the page, and reading data from the substitute page based on the discriminated address. Especially, the address write means writes the substitute destination address on a plurality of bytes in the error generated page, and the data read means 16 reads data from a plurality of bytes on the error generated page, discriminating the substitute destination address by adopting the decision by majority. |
