The facade cladding, elongated panel is pressed from a mixt. of fibres and a curable plastics binder. The thickness of the tile increases from a min. at its upper edge (3) to a max. at its lower edge (2). A tongue (4) is formed along the upper edge (3) and fits into a groove formed in the lower edge of the adjoining upper tile. The tiles have holes for fixing nails. The weight of the upper tile exerts a pressure on the tongue of the lower tile to provide a water-tight joint, with the exposed surface coated with an adhesive, protective layer. |
