The cassette (19) is positioned by two parallel bars (10,12) on which a cassette-retaining lever (20,21) is mounted with a pair of infrared detectors (30,31) associated with deflecting mirrors (e.g. 42). The infrared radiation is thus transmitted into upper and lower portions of the cassette when its upper portion is opened. A multilever linkage (60-62) hinged to the bars (10,12) co-operates with the pivotable upper portion. The air jet from a nozzle (70) is directed past the leading edge of the film sheet adhering to the inner surface of its support on the upper portion of the cassette.
