The latch has an internal recess in the deadbolt and an adjustment plug reciprocally mounted within the deadbolt recess. There is a lock locking the plug to the deadbolt in at least two positions. A turnable shuttle is positioned between the deadbolt and the cylindrical housing to prevent axial movement of such shuttle relative to the cylindrical housing at all times and to selectively engage the deadbolt during backset adjustment to prevent deadbolt axial movement and also causing the lock to release and unlock the adjustment plug from the deadbolt to accomplish backset adjustment. @(10pp Dwg.No.2/16)@.
