The pneumatic switchgear has a switch valve (5), actuated by the pressure from the main air tube, and a three-way element (24). The switch valve has a piston (26), which may be switched to the main piston (4). The active chamber (25) of the piston is in connection with the three-way element, which is supplied from an accumulator (2). The actuating piston (15) of the element, is spring-loaded (19), and has a pressure chamber (21), parallel to the stroke chamber (23). The two chambers communicate via a connection (22) outside the stroke area, and via a radial core (20) within the stroke area of the actuating piston. The stroke chamber (14) between actuating piston and three-way element, is connected to the main air tube (1). ADVANTAGE - Permits almost instant switching-off of brake.
