A heating and hot water supply system, for buildings with a heating circuit (2) and a hot water circuit (3), includes a water heating unit (10,11) comprising a microwave emitter (14) and a heat exchanger (12,13). The heat exchanger (pref. Teflon tubing) located between the cold water connections (4,6) and the hot water connections (5,7) of the unit (10,11). Pref. the heating (2) and hot water (3) circuits have separate heating units (10,11). The heat exchanger (12,13) pref. consists of Teflon (RTM) tubing (16). Solar cells may act as the energy supply for the microwave emitter (14,15). The heating units (10,11) may be located in a by-pass line of a conventional heating unit. ADVANTAGE - The system is environment-friendly since fossil fuel combustion gases are not emitted, can be solar cell-operated with recycling of excess energy and has low cost since commercial microwave ovens can be used as the basic components of the heating unit. |
