The trolley has liftable operating table slabs which can be angled at right angles to the table axis by a service arm with a handle at its free end. The handle pivots round the arm axis to tilt the slab coupling and,when released,sets the coupling in angled or horizontal settings only. A double acting damper ram works between coupling and trolley foot. Depending on the handle settings, the valves (V1, V2) balance pressures both sides of the damper piston (A, B) and open and close when the handle is moved and released respectively.To prevent the coupling becoming fixed, the damper piston is connected to a positioner bar (5),whose indexing cams (6) work with a latching cam (10) as a function of the handle to lock the coupling horizontally and at angles beyond a preset value. USE/ADVANTAGE - For operating theatre and other surgical applications,with maintaining horizontal position irrespective of patient's weight.
