The wall radiator comprises within a casing (1), a number of heating units (2). The casing is made from flat plates with lips (13, 14) that snap together. The heating units are thermselves metal boxes containing a number of ceramic or fireclay heating blocks with embedded heating wires. The plugs and sockets for a unit are on each of the side sof the unit so that a whole set of units can be plugged together in series. There is an insulating spacer of PTFE around the plug terminals. ADVANTAGE - Simple radiator construction made from individual units; suitable for damp areas or where there is an explosion hazard; easy removal and replacement of defective units.
