With prior art fuel distributors which have openings to accommodate fuel-injection valves connected to a main feed line, manufacture is complex and there is a danger that, during a hot start of an internal-combustion engine fitted with such a fuel distributor, vapour bubbles may form, thus leading to starting problems. Moreover, fitting of the fuel valves in the required angular position cannot be guaranteed. The new fuel distributor (1), which can be manufactured simply from a semi-finished shaped-section article, has a bubble-free fuel space which is located round the fuel-injection valve (3) and which, during hot starts, enables readily ignitable bubble-free fuel to be injected through the fuel-injection valves (3). The fuel distributor proposed is particularly suitable for fuel-injection systems in spark-ignition internal-combustion engines with fuel/air mixture compression.
