The swivelling arm attachment facilitates the drilling of bulky workpieces such as frames, rings, tubing, etc.. It has a clamping ring (1) in two parts (3,4) which are hinged (2) so that the ring can be closed round the pillar (22) of a pillar drill and, after horizontal and vertical adjustment, clamped in position by tightening the screw (5). The ring is distanced from the column by inside vertical ribs (11) to allow space for th table elevating rack (11). The rectangular socket (12) on the side of the ring accepts the rectangular end section of the arm attachment, which is locked in placed by a locking pin. Thus different arm attachments can be inserted without releasing the clamping ring. ADVANTAGE - Easy to handle and use. Can be fitted to pillar drills with table elevating rack.
