The machine for the surface finishing of workpieces with flat or curved surfaces is mounted on a slide (18) which slides on guide rails on a base (12). The slide supports two endless grinding belts (34) mounted parallel to each other in a housing which can be swung about an axis parallel to the slide rails. The slide also carries two grinding blocks (52) and a polishing block (54), all of which can be pressed against the workpiece. The slide is driven along the base by the electric motor (22). USE/ADVANTAGE - The machine can grind small or large workpieces without the need to change the tools.
