<p>The subject of the present invention is an installation for automatically descaling a pouring stream protective tube (5) in continuous casting, comprising means (21, 23, 24) for holding a protective tube (5) under a continuous-casting ladle, for transferring the said tube (5) between a ladle and the descaling installation (20) and holding this protective tube (5) in the said installation, means (27, 29) for blowing pressurised oxygen into the protective tube (5), means (25, 26) for exhausting the fumes emitted during descaling of the protective tube (5), and means (30) for recovering the metal emerging from the protective tube when it is descaled. <IMAGE></p> |
