<p>The equipment, intended to be used at low altitude, comprises a face mask (10) fitted with an atmospheric gas supply comprising a filter (22), a fan (24) for compensating for the pressure drop due to the filter, and a hose (12), as well as a self-contained electrical supply source for the fan, supplying a nominal voltage V0. The electric motor (34) of the fan (24) is provided so as to supply under the nominal voltage V0 an air flow rate greater than that necessary for the wearer at rest, and very much less than the flow rate required in the case of abnormal activity. The equipment furthermore comprises a pressure sensor (36) piloting a temporary increase in the voltage supplied to the motor (34) of the fan when the overpressure existing in the equipment with respect to ambient pressure is less than a specified value. <IMAGE></p> |
