A control system for a null-point gyroscope is provided in which, to minimise stiction, the control system is arranged to apply a decreasing oscillatory drive output to a precessed element of the gyroscope. The gyroscope has a sealed float 12 with an input axis I and a sensing axis O, the rotor 10 rotating about axis H. The decreasing oscillatory torque counteracts rotation about axis O and is applied by torquer 28. <IMAGE> |
