<p>The communication apparatus includes a user set comprising storage means and means of calculating over the set Zn of whole numbers modulo n, n being of very large size and equal to the product of two first integers p and q. These storage means store a first integer e, the integer n, integers for identification I and for authentication V, and an integer s of large size, which are inherent to the user set, V being equal to 1/ 2ROOT I, as well as a chosen integer b such that b modulo p is a generator of the set Zp* of the non-zero integers modulo p, and such that b modulo q is a generator of the set Zq* of the non-zero integers modulo q. The means of calculation are suitable to establish an auxiliary whole number A, defined as being equal to V.b<s>, this enabling the user set to communicate the auxiliary integer A in order to authenticate itself without this communication enabling determination of the authentication value V. <IMAGE></p> |
