NC DATA PREPARATION METHOD

The NC data preparation method comprises the steps of determining a point (Ai) on a curve forming the locus (Mk) of the tip of a tool in a three-dimensional curve surface (SS) and determining a normal vector and a tangential vector of the tool tip locus at this point (Ai). The outer product vector of the normal vector and the tangential vector is then determined. The tool centre axis vector is evaluated using the direction inclined at and designated angle toward the direction of the product vector formed by the normal vector (N) and the product vector (S) as the direction of the tool centre axis. The NC data is prepared for the simultaneous 5-axis control by use of the coordinates values of the point and the tool centre axis vector.
