The invention relates to a method for producing pieces, using the so-called "bottom pouring" technique, as well as a mould permitting implementation of this method. This method consists (a) in preparing a mould (40) comprising at least one moulding cavity (41), as well as at least one descent (downgate) shaft (43); and (b) in pouring a molten material (30) into the descent (downgate) shaft (43) until at least the cavity (41) is filled, this method being characterised in that stage (a) also comprises the formation in the descent (downgate) shaft (43) of regulation means (60) capable, during stage (b), of creating a reduction in the flow pressure inside the shaft (43). The invention applies to the production of moulding pieces, such as castings of all types. <IMAGE>
