PURPOSE:To obtain a non-bleeding and non-dripping polyester resin composition having excellent flame-retardancy by uniformly dispersing a small amount of a high-molecular weight brominated phenoxy resin as a flame-retardant in a thermoplastic polyester resin in high efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The objective flame-retardant polyester resin composition is produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester resin with (B) 0-120 pts.wt. of an inorganic reinforcing material (preferably glass fiber, talc or wollastonite), (C) 1-20 pts.wt. of an antimony oxide as a flame- retarding assistant, (D) 1-50 pts.wt. of a brominated phenoxy resin produced by the reaction of tetrabromobisphenol A with epichlorohydrin and having a number-average molecular weight of >=5,000, preferably 30,000-100,000 and (E) 0.1-20 pts.wt. of a polyalkylene glycol derivative and/or an aliphatic polyester derivative having a number-average molecular weight of <=5,000 (preferably polyethylene glycol, polybutylene adipate, terminal esterified polylactone, etc.) as an agent for improving the dispersibility of the component D. |
