PURPOSE:To prevent generation of speed change shock to the utmost while the reduction of cost is kept by changing speed by means of a speed change train on high sped side from the speed change stage where clutch to clutch speed change is avoided when an accel opening is less than a designated value, and clutch to clutch changing speed when the accel opening is the designated value or more. CONSTITUTION:The respective signals from an accel opening sensor 12, a car velocity sensor 13, an engine water temperature sensor 14, a brake switch 15 and so on are input to an automatic transmission control computer 8, and solenoid valves S-S are on-off controlled in order to obtain a speed change stage corresponding to the car velocity and the accel opening. When the accel opening is less than a designated value, change speed is executed by using a higher speed change train than a speed change stage where clutch to clutch speed change is avoided, and when the accel opening is the designated value or more, clutch to clutch speed change is executed. |
