PURPOSE:To provide an electric outboard motor for which tilt up operation can be easily conducted with small power. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor 11 for propeller driving is arranged on either side of upper and lower than a tilt shaft 4 in an outboard motor main body 5 while a battery 13 is mounted on the other side. Accordingly, heavy articles are positioned respectively on a side of a steering handle 9 and on a side of a propeller 10 with respect to the tilt shaft 4. At the time of tilt up operation, weight on the side of the steering handle 9 and weight on the side of the propeller 10 are nearly balanced with each other relative to the tilt shaft 4. Consequently, force of an operator to pull the steering handle 9 at the time of tilt up can be made small. |
