PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber containing a therapeutic component of hot-spring, having sustained releasability of the component and constantly exhibiting fresh effect over a long period by including or attaching a therapeutic component of hot-spring to a fiber. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of therapeutic component of hot-spring selected from carbonate, alkaline-earth metal bicarbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sulfate, iron carbonate, iron sulfate, alum, sulfur, radon, radium, etc., is included in or attached to a natural or synthetic fiber. The inclusion in the fiber is preferably carried out by adding the component during the production process of a synthetic fiber and the attaching of the component is preferably carried out by dissolving or dispersing the component in a proper solvent, applying the solution or dispersion to a fiber and drying the product. The above component may be used in combination with ceramic powder or metallic powder (e.g. silver, copper or gold powder) having far infrared radiation activity, antibacterial action, moth-proofing action, deodorizing action, etc. |
