PURPOSE:To reduce a burden of the selection and management of paper feeding trays fitted at respective paper feeding tray positions by setting each paper feeding tray, mounted at two paper feeding tray positions of respective paper feeding tray positions, so as to be usable as upper and lower stage trays; and memorizing and registering each paper feeding tray in an NVRAM. CONSTITUTION:Each paper feeding tray, fitted at two optional place paper feeding tray positions of respective paper feeding tray positions, is set so as to be usable as upper and lower stage trays to be memorized and registered on an NVRAM 10. After that, a tray selection order escape sequence by an ex-definition is received from a host device 5, and when the sequence requests the selection of a paper feeding tray with a selection piece of the upper stage tray, a paper feeding tray, registered in the NVRAM 10 and set as the upper stage tray, is selected, also when the sequence requests the selection of a paper feeding tray with a selection piece of the lower stage tray, a paper feeding tray, set as the lower stage tray is selected. |
