PURPOSE:To realize an odorant sensor which is solid and long in service life and able to detect odorant molecules with high sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:In this odorant sensor for detecting various kinds of odor by utilizing the sensitivity of a lipid membrane 3, an electrode part 4 of the sensor is constituted of an electrode 2 to detect the impedance or potential of the membrane and tone lipid membrane 3 composed of lipid molecules 1 bonded to the surface of the electrode by the bonding energy larger than the physical adsorption. The lipid molecules 1 are bonded with the electrode 2 by the utilization of bonding between thiol radical introduced to a terminal of one or a plurality of hydrophxobic chains of tone lipid molecules 1 and a metal such as gold or the like. |
