PURPOSE:To always keep a high-grade image by correcting the image data inputted on the basis of the image correcting data formed by reading the image pattern recorded by a recording head by the CCD provided to a reader part to perform recording. CONSTITUTION:In a color copier, a reader part 24 reads an image while the manuscript 2 placed on manuscript glass 1 is scanned by a CCD line sensor 5 and the recording of an image is performed in a printer part 44 by four color ink jet heads 22. In this case, the discrimination data of the recording heads 32 and the first density irregularity correction data inherent to said heads are allowed to correspond to each other to be stored in a first recording means and the second density irregularity correction data and the discrimination data corresponding to the first density irredularity correction data are stored in a second recording means in combination. The discrimination data read from both recording means are compared and, corresponding to the comparison result, the recording heads 32 are subjected to driving control on the basis of the density corresponding data read from one memory means. |
