PURPOSE:To provide the forming method and device of sheet material, out of which a small-sized and lightweight formed article with large strength can be obtained. CONSTITUTION:An extrusion molder 1, from the thin rectangular extrusion orifice of which extrusing stock 11 is extruded. An extruded article transferring device, with which the sheet material 13 extruded from the extrusion molder 1 is transferred above a lower mold 39. By moving a truck 33, onto which the lower mold 39 having the sheet material 13 thereon is fixed, the lower mold 39 having the sheet material 13 thereon is positioned below the upper mold 35 of a pressing machine 30 so as to compress the sheet material 13 for carrying out compression finishing forming by lowering the upper mold 35 with a forming cylinder 36. |
