PURPOSE:To get high voltage without increasing thickness by junctioning the end portions of a plurality of cell units in order through solid polyelectrolyte film. CONSTITUTION:Gas diffusion sheets 13, 21 and gas reaction layers 15, 16 are piled up and rolled, so that platinum is supported at 0.56mg/cm<2> on the surfaces of the layers 15, 16 at the side where solid polyelectrolyte film 14 is junctioned by mwans of platinum chloride oxidation reduction to manufacture a cell unit 11. A film 14 is made to be included between the cell unit 11 and a cell unit 11 adjacent thereto and they are hot-pressed. Seventy sheets of cell units 11 5cm long and 10.5cm broad are flatly arranged such that halves of them are overlapped one another, and covered with resin mold 19. Thus, the end portions of the units 11 are junctioned through a film 14 in order and a serial aggregate of electrodes in a plane expanse is thereby produced, so that it is possible to freely get high voltage corresponding to the number of cell units without increasing the thickness of the aggregate. |
