PURPOSE:To allow a hand set to be used in the cordless state by disposing the hand set of a cordless telephone in the cabin and the main apparatus of the cordless telephone in a luggage compartment, and disposing a radio for performing radiocommunication with a fixed ground station, also in the luggage compartment and connecting it to the main apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The main apparatus 2 and radio 3 of a cordless telephone are disposed in the luggage compartment 1 of an automobile. In this case, the main apparatus 2 is formed in such a way as to enable radiocommunication with a hand set 5 in the interior through a wire antenna 4, and the radio 3 is connected to an outside antenna 6 so as to enable radiocommunication with a fixed base station 7. The base station 7 is wire-connected to the telephone 8 of the other party through a public circuit. The hand set 5 is removably mounted to a part around the door knob 14 inside a driver's seat side door 13, for instance, through a bracket part 16. A microphone arm 23 provided with a microphone 25 is turned around a pivot 24 so as to be switched into a hand set position or a hand-free position. |
