PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording device by which stripes due to the feeding precision of a recording medium at a steam of printing areas do not generate, and stripes due to smear do not generate when duplicate printing is performed. CONSTITUTION:Ink tanks 4 for four colors and recording heads 7 are loaded on a carriage 5 which moves along a guide shaft 3. A drum 9 which draws a recorded medium 8 by static electricity, etc., is rotated by a fixed speed. Printing is done by performing major scanning by the rotation of the drum 9 under a condition in which the carriage 5 is moved to a printing position along the guide member 3 and stopped. When printing for one rotation of the drum is completed, printing is repeated by moving the carriage 5 along the guide member 3 by the printing width of the recording head. By arranging the recording heads so that they are shifted with their positional intervals one integer multiplications of the printing area, there is an effect that an image of high picture quality without generating smear at a seam of printing areas can be obtained. |
