PURPOSE:To eliminate unnecessary retry by timer-monitoring a response to a data transmission/reception demand to an input/output device for a specified time and changing a data transfer speed to retry an input/output which finishs abnormally from a head. CONSTITUTION:A data over run detecting means 16 timer-monitoring the response to the data transmission/reception demand to the input/output device for the specified time, a speed changing means changing a data transfer speed and a means retrying 14 the input/output which finishes abnormally from the top retry 14 the input/output which is finished owing to over run by making the speed of it slow. Only a record which over runs is retried with low speed transfer by providing, furthermore, a means which renews the input/output which is finished owing to over run from the record which stops transferring, and a succeeding data transfer is executed in normal speed. Thus, the unnecessary retry such as retrying the specified number of times until I/O is finished normally can be eliminated. |
