PURPOSE:To provide an optical fiber cable which can considerably improve entire advancing force by increasing the minimum value of the advancing force for the optical fiber cable. CONSTITUTION:In the case of transmitting the conventional optical fiber cable having an equal outer diameter with the pressure of air flow, the advancing force is small on the side of an air flow supplying terminal. When the resistance of a bending part or the like is present on the side of the air flow supplying terminal, the minimum value of the advancing force is lowered. Thus, by changing the thickness of a secondary cover 4 at an optical fiber cable 1 or the like, the advancing force is reduced on the terminal side of an advancing direction rather than on the head side in the case of transmission with the pressure of the air flow. Since the resistance is more reduced as the outer diameter of the optical fiber cable 1 is made smaller, the advancing force can be enlarged on the side of the air flow supplying terminal. |
