PURPOSE:To restrict entering of air into the head part to perform a suitable discharge of liquid drops by a method wherein for a sealing material which covers a connecting means and seals a space which is located between the recording head part and the peripheral members, and engaging areas, a material of which the air permeability is at a specified value or lower is adopted. CONSTITUTION:For an ink jet head, a heater board 1 is bonded to a supporting base 3, and a grooved top plate 2 is temporarily bonded on the heater board 1 in such a manner that a mutual heater part would meet an ink passage 8. At the same time, an orifice plate 4 of the grooved top plate 2 is arranged on the front end surface of the supporting base 3. An ink is fed from an ink feeding member 5 to an ink storage chamber 7 through an ink introducing port 2a. In the meantime, at respective gaps between above mentioned members 1, 2 and 5, a sealer 12 is respectively filled. In this case, for the sealer 12, a material of which the air permeability is at 40X10<-10>(cm<3>) (cm)/(sec) (cm<2>) (cmHg) or lower is adopted. By doing this, entering of air into the head is restricted, and an appropriate operation is ensured. |
