A magnetic head is manufactured by (A) forming thin iron- silicon- aluminum-titanium based alloy (Fe-Si-Al-Ti alloy) film (2) on the adhesive face of magnetic core (1) composed of a ferrite by sputtering and heat treatment, (B) forming a magnetic gap (4) by adhering to a magnetic core with molten glass (3), whose melting temperature is 700-800 deg.C. The above molten glass (3) is formed in the magnetic gap by sputtering the silica (SiO2) to join the magnetic cores, e.g. I-core and C-core. The content of titanium element is 0.1-1.0 by weight % (desirable content is 0.4-0.7 wt.%).
