PURPOSE:To stabilize image density without reference to the fatigue of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:When a copy start switch is turned ON in a step ST1, it is decided in a step ST2 whether or not fixation temperature T is below 100C. When T is below 100C, an advance to a step ST4 is made and when T is above 100C, an advance to a step ST3 is made. In the step ST3, it is decided whether the wait time of the copying machine is >=2 hours or not. When the wait time is <=2 hours, an advance to a step ST7 is made. In the step ST4, it is decided whether or not the surface temperature T0 of the photosensitive body at the time of image density correction before copying operation is <=30 deg.C and when To is >30C, an advance to a step ST6 is made to perform the image density correction. When T0 is <=30 deg.C, an advance to a step ST5 is made and the image density correction is performed. Then an advance to the step ST7 is made and a copy cycle is executed. |
