PURPOSE:To obtain a new polypeptide having an amino acid sequence of L- fucose dehydrogenase according to genetic engineering. CONSTITUTION:A polypeptide having an amino acid sequence expressed by the formula and L-fucose dehydrogenase activity. The aforementioned polypeptide is obtained by culturing a transformant comprising a recombinant plasmid containing a DNA capable of coding the above-mentioned polypeptide transduced thereinto and collecting the polypeptide from the resultant culture.
