Appearance, reddish brown crystal; melting point, 170-171 deg.C ; solubility, soluble in methanol, dimethyl sulfoxide, chloroform and ethyl acetate and insoluble in water; high-resolution mass-spectrum, (m/z) 358.1206 (MTH)<+> molecular formula C20H20NO3CI. The compound of formula can be produced by culturing a microbial strain of the genus Auxarthron (FERM BP-3378) at 20-30 deg.C for 7 days preferably by aerobic liquid culture. |
