The invention relates to a device allowing an emblem to be made foldable and thus to be able to penetrate into a reception box situated below the radiator grille through a small hole. This device is particularly intended for the emblem of the MERCEDES company whose radiator grille already has a small hole made with a view to accommodating the holder of a classic emblem. The device consists of a foldable star (1) composed of six circle arcs (2) riveted in pairs and having a stainless steel framework (3). A cylindrical torsion spring (7) located on the base (5) of the emblem holds it upright. This base is screwed onto a movable support (9) sliding inside a box (13) by means of a groove (14) made on each of its two side faces. <IMAGE>
