PURPOSE:To miniaturize a visible image eraser which performs the erasure of a visible image on a recording medium capable of performing the recording/ erasure of the visible image by heating repeatedly, to shorten heating rise time, to reduce power consumption, to attach a role of recording medium carrying guide on the partial area of a heating head for erasure, and to widen a guide area. CONSTITUTION:In the visible image eraser equipped with a heat erasing means which performs the erasure of the visible image as coming in contact with a carried recording medium, the heat erasing means is provided with a heating body part 1 in which a thin or thick belt shape heating resistor 8 heated by energizing a position asymmetric to the direction of short side of an electrical insulating substrate 7 is provided. The eraser is provided with such feature that a heating resistor forming plane is inclined to the advancing direction of the recording medium and also, an area 11 on the long side separated far from the heating resistor on the heating resistor forming plane is arranged so as to be directed to the advancing side of the recording medium. |
