HEAT TREATMENT OF DISK WHEEL

PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a disk wheel by carrying out heat treatment onto the localized part to be strengthened of a disk wheel to increase the tensile strength thereof. CONSTITUTION:A localized part to be strengthened 1a of a disk wheel formed with a stress relief heat treatment type steel plate is preheated using a burner 3 to form an oxide film on the surface of the localized part to be strengthened 1a. Then a laser beam is applied from a laser torch 4 onto the surface of the localized part to be strengthened 1a to carry out heating treatment.
