PURPOSE:To wash the outer surface of an observing window with a simple structure, and to prevent filth from being trapped, thereby to easily and surely perform sterilization. CONSTITUTION:A food device 20 has a food body 21 which is removably attached to the front end part 7 of an insertion part of an endoscope. A counterflow preventing valve 22 having a resilient member for urging the same so as to block an opening 17 of an air and water feed channel 16 of the endoscope, is provided in the food body 21. This counterflow preventing valve 22 is pushed up by fluid fed through the air and water feed channel 16 of the endoscope so as to open the opening 17 of the channel 16, and is then held at a position where it faces the opening 17. Further, the fluid fed from the opening 17 of the channel 16 by way of the counterflow preventing valve 22 changes its way so as to flow toward an observing window 13 of the endoscope, and accordingly, the fluid is fed to the window. |
