<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the processing in the unit of pixels and to apply efficient border processing to a picture data with respect to the picture data border processing unit converting the picture data of an optional size into a data whose size is in the unit of 16X8 pixels in the algorithm in which the picture data is subject to compression processing based on a block consisting of the 16X8 pixels. CONSTITUTION:The processing unit is provided with a data conversion circuit 11 converting mutually, picture data of a pixel map form and picture data of a 24-bit pack form and with a border processing circuit 13 which receives an xXy pixels of an original picture data of the pack form, latches a data written finally in the X and Y directions respectively, reads repetitively the final data till the X and Y reach respectively 16Xm and 8Xn to generate a compressed picture data in the unit of 16X8 pixels and generates the original picture data of xXy pixels by aborting a redundant data added before the compression processing based on the compression picture data in the unit of 16X8 pixels.</p> |
