PURPOSE:To prevent traveling stability from lowering even if a stepping motor becomes out-of-step by compensating the out-of-step of a stepping motor for altering a damping force of shock absorbers so that a control means compensates the damping force to a harder side for a specified time interval. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 8 detects a damping force at pressure sensors 61 to 64 of their respective shock absorbers, and inputs acceleration signals in vertical direction of a spring weight from acceleration sensors 11 to 14, and signals from a vehicle speed sensor 15. When a control mode is selected by a mode selection switch, the control unit 8 calculates a sky hook damping force of ideal damping force, and changes the coefficient of damping one step harder than before according to the detected damping force. Then, it outputs control signals to actuators 41 to 44, and changes the damping force of the shock absorbers by one step by a stepping motor. Thus, lowering of traveling stability can be prevented even if the stepping motor becomes out-of-step. |
